Developed from years of being “on the other side of the table,” this class introduces tools to release anxiety, cope with adrenaline, and ground you in the present moment to fully realize your potential in the audition room. Through prepared readings, cold readings, and mock self-taped auditions, you will learn to balance the business and your artistry.

Meditation & the body

Special 4-Week Class

What do you do when you forget your lines during an audition or something distracts you out of the scene and you find yourself on auto-pilot? How can you not only recover, but thrive? How can you manage adrenaline and nerves so you are confident when you walk in the room? What can you do when you get an adjustment but are locked into your choices? How do you let go? Listening (aka full-body awareness) is a skill to cultivate and practice. In this course, we apply mindfulness meditation and sensory awareness exercises to text so actors to stay grounded in the present moment.

Wednesday, 3/11 (10:30am-1:30pm)

Saturday, 3/14 (3:30pm-6:30pm)

Wednesday, 3/18 (10:30am-1:30pm)
